How To Do It All

Oftentimes as I peruse the blogging world, I wonder at all of the many beautiful things being made by all of the lovely WAHM’s out there.  The question nagging at the back of my mind is “how do you manage to do it all?”  How does one maintain a house, care for young children, have friends and a romantic relationship with your husband, and still have time to create beautiful things?lightweighttotesrow2

There’s no doubt that you can’t do it all.  The house won’t ever look perfect, your children will probably watch some TV (gasp) and you’ll be more tired at the end of the day.

I have, however, developed some routines that help me keep everything from falling apart.  I would like to share a few of them with you just in case they can help your life run more smoothly as well.

So here’s my list of tips.  I’ll elaborate on them as well as I can in future posts.

1.  Have a morning/evening routine

2.  Daily cleaning

3.  Work while you workout

4.  Simple cooking

5.  Crafty space

6.  Effective shopping

What are your tips for doing it all?  Even if you don’t work at home, I’m sure you’ve developed some routines that help you make it through the day.  Let’s hear about them!

Prettier Than a Ballet Dress

This is the highest compliment my son can pay me. “Mommy, I love you more than a ballet girl, and you’re prettier than a ballet dress.” It gets me every time.

Well, I like him even better than Batman!

A warm welcome to all my crafty friends from Sew Mama Sew!

This is the third giveaway in honor of May Giveaway Day.  I’ll be posting one more really interesting one in the next few days, so subscribe or come back to check it out.  You can also enter to win lots of ribbons and a hairbow making kit.

To enter this giveaway, you must visit my catalog and tell me which is your favorite bag and how you would personalize it (ribbon, fonts, colors, anything you want).  Or, tell me a product that you think might be popular but is missing from the site.

Rules:

The giveaway is for one mid-weight ribbon tote with personalization in your choice of color embellished with your choice of ribbon.  I may ask you to choose a different color or ribbon if your choice isn’t in stock, but I keep most of the choices in stock.  The winner will be randomly selected from the entrants.  You may only enter this giveaway one time.  Duplicate entries will be deleted. Giveaway will end June 3 at midnight on the East Coast.  I will post the results from all giveaways by June 6.  To claim your prize, you must check back here.  I will post the winners and you will email me you address so I can send you your package.  I will ship for free to the US, if you live overseas, you can make a donation for the postage if you enter and win.  I will select a new winner for any prizes unclaimed by June 10 at midnight.  You must fill out the form below and click submit to enter.

Win a Hairbow Making Kit

OK, here’s the giveaway for the longer ribbon scraps.  You can enter the giveaway for the shorter scraps too.  Most of these scraps are around 1 yard or longer.  Some have already been fashioned into bows.  In addition, I’m going to throw in a few alligator clips and I’ll try to make sure I post some hairbow making instructions before you get the package.  All you’ll need other than what I send is some florist’s wire or thread, a hot glue gun and a grill lighter.  Of course, these ribbons have other uses as well.

SSSS Giveaway Day 1

Hello to all my crafty friends out there.  Were you wondering what “ssss” was?  Share my Sassy Short Scraps!

For years I’ve been making things with ribbons and for years I’ve been shoving the scraps into a little plastic bag.  Well, that bag is overflowing, and I haven’t come up with anything creative to do with them…but I bet you can.  I think these would be great for a scrapbook-er, but I’m sure they could be useful in many projects.

Here is a giveaway for all of the scraps under 1 yard in length.

Oops…I Did It Again!

Sometimes more isn’t more, it’s just confusing.  So we agreed that it might be a good idea to limit our ribbon selection.  Get rid of some of the less-popular choices.  You know, streamline.

But they were calling to me.  And I knew they would look so great with the new tote selections.  Who could resist all of this loveliness?  Please don’t tell my webmaster!!

Welcome!

Rebekah BlandI’m Rebekah and I’d like to welcome you to my new website!

Years ago, my husband made the “mistake” of buying me a home embroidery machine. I fell in love with machine embroidery and the result is what you see here.

Whether you are a bride who wants to provide a really useful gift for her bridesmaids or a business person who wants employees to represent the company with a more professional look, you’ll find something here especially for you.

You’ll also find something that’s often missing from many companies: Quality and Consideration. I’m willing to take the extra step makes all the difference.

So step into my office! Take a look around. If you don’t see exactly what you’re looking for, contact me. Believe me, if it can be embroidered (and you’d be surprised at how many things can) I’m the person you’re looking for.
